In the first part we practiced decorative lettering. Today, we will try to make our lettering more appealing with usage of other easy decorative elements.
We can organise our card better if we frame things. There are different types of frames. You can make an ordinary rectangle or an oval. Cloud shape is also interesting. Anything that comes to your mind will fit. A classic one is also a ribbon! I will present you how to draw one in few simple steps.
- Draw a rectangle around your lettering.
2) Draw two vertical lines coming from the bottom line.
3) Connect the lines with bottom corners. You will create triangles.
4) Draw two horizontal lines. One starting from the corner of the triangle we have created, and one in half of height of the rectangle.
5) Connect the lines with inverted corner.
And here you go, you have a ribbon. When you get the hang of it, you can get more creative:
